I don't know how many would agree ...i find that Indian food is better for health...less oil needed in cooking, less use of maida, less processed food....

(instead of 3 posts should have send just one)

bye
nanduAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22910471.post-1169784478791604382007-01-26T05:07:00.000+01:002007-01-26T05:07:00.000+01:00I prefer whole wheat sandwiches and I am partial t...I prefer whole wheat sandwiches and I am partial to the peperidge farm one.....toasting the sandwiches with vege's(most of us have sabzi's already made) or meat or scrambled eggs tastes very good..all u need to send along with it is water and fruit...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22910471.post-1169784179069860532007-01-26T05:02:00.000+01:002007-01-26T05:02:00.000+01:00Hi,I usually make a wrap with our regular roti's o...Hi,
I usually make a wrap with our regular roti's or chapathi's .I make the dry subzi with potato, peas, beans, cauliflower or simillar vegetable and then roll it in the chapathi and send it to school..since it is not messy and is in a roll.It may not agree with our taste but cauliflower or brocoli or potato tastes very good when made with a few cumin seeds. In a tsp of oil , put may be a teaspoon of cumin seed ,when it splutters add some turmeric and whatever vegetable u like and then cook the vege and after a few mts add salt..(adding salt sooner makes the vege very soggy) , then cook it for some time...even frozen french cut beans with potatoes and tomatoes tastes good......i have found most kids to like it.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22910471.post-1169764122992253262007-01-25T23:28:00.000+01:002007-01-25T23:28:00.000+01:00wow Meeta, thats a great idea! i like the sound of...wow Meeta, thats a great idea! i like the sound of a savoury toast and the sweet and sour sauce. My variation on that is making it Italian - I use Italian herbs and Parmesan cheese. Tastes great with a cappuccino.

For the wrap my variation is adding a bunch of finely sliced vegies along with the cream cheese depending on Soeren's mood we either go for a light tomato sauce or a sweet and sour sauce too.Meeta K.
